Immunotherapeutic combination for tumor treatment |
abstract |
The present invention relates to the field of immunology, and more specifically to cancer immunotherapy. In particular, it relates to immunotherapeutic combinations and treatment methods for inhibiting tumor cell growth and / or removing tumor cells. The methods described in the present invention are based on inhibiting receptors having protein kinase activity in tyrosine residues (receptor tyrosine kinases, RTKs) and ligands for these receptors. Immunocombination therapy is defined as treatment that inhibits the RTK receptor and / or its ligand by a combination of passive and active immunotherapy. The described procedure is applicable to patients in various clinical stages of epithelial derived tumors that overexpress these receptors. The combination of active and passive immunization may be performed simultaneously or sequentially, regardless of whether the treatment procedure is used for patients with advanced disease or as an adjunct treatment.
