titleOfInvention | Method for producing hydrocarbon resin |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a hydrocarbon resin by increasing the polymerization conversion rate of a cracked oil fraction to a hydrocarbon resin. SOLUTION: A method for producing a hydrocarbon resin, comprising performing a multistage polymerization step through at least the following steps (1) and (2). (1) Step: Among the cracked oil fractions obtained by pyrolysis of petroleum, the fraction (a) having a boiling range of 140 to 220 ° C or a fraction having a boiling range of 15 to 70 ° C with the fraction (a) A polymerization step in which a Friedel-Crafts catalyst is added to the mixture with the component (b) and a polymerization reaction is carried out at a polymerization temperature in the range of 30 to 60 ° C. (2) Step: A polymerization step in which after the step (1), the temperature is raised to a polymerization temperature higher than the polymerization temperature in the step (1) and the polymerization reaction is continued.
