abstract | A supported catalyst for a fuel cell having a larger metal surface area and a higher activity is obtained by removing the aggregation inhibitor from a supported catalyst in which metal fine particles prepared using a metal salt or metal complex and an aggregation inhibitor are supported on a carrier. Obtaining an agglomeration inhibitor is removed from a supported catalyst by ultrasonically washing the supported catalyst in a solvent containing an organic solvent at an output of 300 to 2000 KW for 5 to 110 minutes.
