titleOfInvention | Leather, its manufacturing method and manufacturing apparatus |
abstract | The present invention provides a tanned leather that is extremely soft and soft to the touch, and in which formalin is not detected, and a method for producing the same. In a formalin-free tanning step SP3, a raw material skin placed in a rotating drum is tanned with glutaraldehyde. Thereafter, cod oil as tanning oil is put in a drum, and the temperature is raised while rotating to perform oil tanning step SP4. Since the drum 1 is rotated while being heated, the skin is completely oxidized without any unevenness, and the processing is as fast as several hours. Since formalin is not used, formalin is not detected from the finished skin, and there is no problem such as inflammation even if the skin is touched directly. Moreover, by heating in the oil tanning process, the tanning oil is completely spread over the leather fibers, making it difficult for the leather to come off, and the leather feel is extremely soft and smooth.
