titleOfInvention | Image forming apparatus |
abstract | An image forming apparatus capable of giving gloss to printed paper without requiring a dedicated heat source, and improving convenience without causing an increase in cost and energy consumption. A gloss unit 21 is disposed such that a pressure unit 22 or at least a part of a film supply path to the pressure unit 22 is located downstream of a flow of heat flowing out of a fixing unit 10. . Accordingly, the waste heat from the fixing unit 10 can be used as a necessary heat source in the gloss unit 21 and the film is heated, so that the contact with the surface of the printing medium 14 at the pressurizing unit 22 is superimposed. Can be performed flexibly, and mixing of bubbles and the like between the surface of the print medium 14 can be suppressed. [Selection] Figure 1 |
