abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight and flexible fiber or fabric deformation sensor that functions stably in air with high response sensitivity. SOLUTION: A fibrous deformation sensor 10 contains a polymer component selected from a polymer containing a monomer unit having a hetero atom or a block copolymer containing a block of the polymer, and an ionic liquid. A deformation sensor that generates a potential difference between at least one pair of electrodes 11 and 13 that are in contact with the non-aqueous polymer solid electrolyte 12 and insulated from each other by deformation of the water-based polymer solid electrolyte 12, The electrodes 11 and 13 are composite fibers constituting a fiber cross section and continuing in the fiber length direction.
