【Task】 Provided is a deodorant capable of continuously deodorizing human waste stored in a toilet waste collection container or the like by a simple method. [Solution] Deodorant used to contain the odor component of manure by floating and covering the manure stored in the container. The deodorizer includes 50 to 90% by weight of a hydrocarbon compound having 4 to 18 carbon atoms, 10 to 50% by weight of water, and 0.1 to 5% by weight of a nonionic surfactant of HLB 6 to 17, The deodorant has a specific gravity of 0.8 or more and less than 1.0.
