Diesel oxidation catalyst and exhaust device equipped with the same |
abstract |
Disclosed is a diesel oxidation catalyst that uses hydrocarbons (HC) collected at a low temperature to desorb sulfur adsorbed on the oxidation catalyst at a high temperature, and an exhaust device including the same. In a diesel oxidation catalyst 40 mounted on an exhaust pipe that discharges exhaust gas generated in an engine to the outside, a hydrocarbon trap that adsorbs or desorbs hydrocarbons depending on whether or not a set condition is satisfied is coated. And a second portion coated with an oxidation catalyst that oxidizes hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide in the exhaust gas, wherein the second portion is oxidized with HC desorbed in the first portion. Reaction is performed, and sulfur adsorbed on the oxidation catalyst is desorbed using heat of oxidation generated by the oxidation reaction. [Selection] Figure 2 |
