abstract |
The present invention provides a practical method for producing α-substituted esters. An α-substituted ester can be produced by reacting a fluorosulfuric acid ester of an α-hydroxy ester with a Grignard reagent in the presence of a zinc catalyst. It has been newly found that a reaction that has been limited to an expensive trifluoromethanesulfonic acid ester as a raw material substrate can proceed well even with a fluorosulfuric acid ester suitable for large-scale production. In addition, by using the fluorosulfuric ester having a high optical purity, α-substituted esters having reversed stereochemistry can be obtained with a high optical purity. The present invention solves all the problems of the prior art and is a manufacturing method that can be implemented industrially. [Selection figure] None |
