abstract An object of the present invention is to reliably prevent the occurrence of an abnormal image such as a decrease in density of a formed image or white spots, which is excellent as an energy saving measure with low power consumption. An image forming unit 2 separates a fixing unit 3 that adheres and dissolves droplets 36a of a toner fixing liquid 36 to unfixed toner 18 transferred to a recording paper 5 and fixes it on the recording paper 5. When a predetermined amount of droplet density distribution is detected by the density sensor 32 of the fixing unit 3 during the image forming process in the unit 2, an alarm is displayed on the operation display unit, and the exhaust fan 51 of the exhaust duct 32 of the fixing device 31 is driven. The surface of the developing sleeve 26 of the developing device 12 of the image forming unit 2 is reduced by exhausting the inside of the spray chamber 38 and the exterior case 30 for a predetermined time to reduce the amount of the droplet 36a of the toner fixing liquid 36 leaking to the image forming unit 2. This prevents the droplets 36a from adhering to and sticking to them. [Selection] Figure 1
