abstract Disclosed is a dye-sensitized solar cell that is inexpensive and easy to manufacture. A dye-sensitized solar cell includes a semiconductor electrode 4 having a dye adsorbed on a surface thereof, a counter electrode 5 disposed so as to face the semiconductor electrode 4, and a gap between the semiconductor electrode 4 and the counter electrode 5. And an electrolyte composition 10 comprising a redox mediator and at least one eutectic ionic liquid. The eutectic ionic liquid is formed by mixing choline halide or a choline halide derivative and alcohol, or by mixing choline halide or a choline halide derivative and urea. [Selection] Figure 1
