abstract High spatial and temporal resolution, good image quality and sufficient field of view are achieved using standard detectors or even smaller detectors. A technique for imaging a field of view (72) using an X-ray source (12) including two or more emission points (70) is provided. Two or more emission points (70) can be operated independently. The independent operation of two or more emission points (70) is performed according to a list of instructions that specify the operation of the emission points (70). The list of instructions is stored in the sequence buffer (32) in one embodiment. In other embodiments, the list of instructions is generated for each given usage without being stored in the sequence buffer (32). [Selection] Figure 1
