abstract | A fixing device that appropriately collects mist droplets of a fixing liquid that has not been applied to a toner image and suppresses contamination by the mist droplets, and an image forming apparatus including the same. The sprayed droplet 46 rides on the airflow generated by the airflow supply means 47 and is applied to the toner image on the recording material P conveyed by the conveyance belt 61 from the opening 48 a of the spraying chamber 48. Fixing liquid droplets 52 that have not been applied to the toner image on the recording material P in the fixing liquid recovery means 42 are recovered in the recovery container 53 through the fixing liquid recovery pipe 50 along the airflow.
