Provided is a capacitor manufacturing method capable of manufacturing a capacitor having a high withstand voltage, a high capacitance, and a sufficiently low ESR with ease and high productivity. The method of manufacturing a capacitor according to the present invention includes a π-conjugated conductive polymer, a polyanion, and a solvent on the dielectric layer 12 side of a capacitor substrate 10a having a dielectric layer 12 formed on the surface of an anode 11. As a conductive polymer solution used for at least one film forming process after the second time, a film forming process in which a conductive polymer solution containing a coating liquid is applied and dried to form a conductive polymer film is repeated two or more times.
