abstract The present invention provides a biopolymer analysis chip and a method for operating the biopolymer analysis chip that can cope with a time lag of a chemical reaction. SOLUTION: A plurality of photoelectric conversion elements 20, a primary recording unit and a secondary recording unit 87 in which an output value of each photoelectric conversion element 20 is recorded, and an output of each photoelectric conversion element 20 by driving the photoelectric conversion element 20. When the value is written in the primary recording unit 87 and the value recorded in the primary recording unit 87 is larger than the value recorded in the secondary recording unit 87, the value recorded in the secondary recording unit 87 is used as the primary recording unit.
