titleOfInvention Particle beam therapy system
abstract In a particle beam therapy system using a multileaf collimator, a particle beam therapy system capable of easily and accurately confirming the shape of a leaf opening of the multileaf collimator is obtained. A multi-leaf collimator 3 provided with a first illuminating means 5, a second illuminating means 6 and a photographing means 7 upstream of the multi-leaf collimator 3 with respect to the particle beam irradiation direction and detected by a rotation angle detecting means 10. By controlling on / off of the two illumination means based on the rotation angle information by the illumination control means 9, strong irregular reflection of illumination light by the leaf 3a can be suppressed. Moreover, the patient compensator shielding means 11 is provided between the patient compensator 4 and the multileaf collimator 3 to suppress the patient compensator 4 from appearing in the captured image of the multileaf collimator 3 and to suppress the intrusion of light from the outside of the irradiation nozzle 100. And since reflection of the illumination light from the illumination means 5 and 6 was suppressed, the clear picked-up image of the multileaf collimator 3 can be acquired, and the leaf opening shape can be confirmed easily and accurately.
