[PROBLEMS] To produce difluoroacetic acid fluoride by gas phase decomposition of 1-alkoxy-1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethane in the presence of a catalyst, and a catalyst with little structural change in a reaction in a fluorinated environment. The goal is to provide long-term stable operation. A 1-alkoxy-1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethane represented by a general formula CHF 2 CF 2 OR (where R represents a monovalent organic group) is contacted with a phosphate. A process for producing difluoroacetic acid fluoride (CHF 2 COF). [Selection figure] None |
