abstract | An application method and apparatus and an ink jet recording apparatus capable of preventing damage and uneven application of a sheet-like recording medium are provided. An inkjet recording apparatus 1 is wound around a processing liquid drum 52 that rotates and conveys a sheet-like recording medium 22 on a peripheral surface, and rollers 64 and 65, and is held on the peripheral surface of the processing liquid drum 52. Then, the endless belt 63 in contact with the recording medium 22 that is rotated and conveyed, a motor that travels the belt 63, a measuring roller 62 that supplies the processing liquid to the peripheral surface of the belt 63, and agglomeration by contact with the processing liquid.
