abstract 【Task】 The present invention provides a method for harvesting poxviruses, particularly modified vaccinia virus ankara (MVA), from infected cells. [Solution] According to the present invention, poxvirus-infected cells are subjected to high-pressure homogenization to obtain a poxvirus-containing homogenate. To obtain a poxvirus-rich fraction, the poxvirus-containing homogenate may be subjected to at least one purification step. The invention further relates to a poxvirus-containing fraction and a poxvirus-containing homogenate obtained by the method according to the invention. [Selection] Figure 1
