A method for obtaining a spectacle lens including a useful surface microstructure, particularly a surface microstructure having a dimming effect. An eyeglass lens made of organic glass is manufactured by molding between two components 2 and 4 of a mold 1 connected to a fixing element 5. The optical material or composition is introduced into the mold assembly by casting or injecting from the hole 6, cured or polymerized in the assembly, and the mold is disassembled to obtain an optical lens. At least one of the mold components 2 and 4 includes an inner surface 3 having a field correction shape. The inner surface 3 of the mold component 2 is provided with a useful microstructure, i.e. a microstructure with dimming action. The microstructure is determined by an interference process.
