abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device with a rotation detecting device capable of preventing wear, swelling and cracking of a magnetic encoder, strengthening the structure, and being used in a high and low temperature environment and capable of downsizing the device. A wheel bearing device includes a rolling element 5 interposed between rolling surfaces 3 and 4 of an outer member 1 and an inner member 2. A magnetic encoder 21 having an inclined surface 23 b inclined with respect to the axial direction is fitted and attached to the outer peripheral surface of the inner member 2. An annular sensor holder 25 containing the magnetic sensor 24 is attached to the outer member 1. The magnetic sensor 24 faces the inclined surface 23b of the magnetic encoder 21 in parallel with a predetermined gap. A sealing device 8 that seals the space between the sensor holder 25 and the inner member 2 is provided at a position outside the bearing relative to the magnetic encoder 21. A thermoplastic elastomer magnetic encoder is used as the magnetic encoder 21. [Selection] Figure 2 |
