[PROBLEMS] To reliably and promptly detect internal defects such as cracks in a liner while reducing maintenance man-hours and costs by improving the maintenance efficiency while continuously using a vehicle. A pressure tank and a method for detecting internal defects in the pressure tank are provided. A fuel gas tank 9 in which an outer surface of a liner 23 is reinforced with a reinforcing layer 24 of fiber reinforced plastic, which is connected to the liner 23 and detects an acoustic wave propagating through the liner 23, and an ultrasonic sensor. 37, and a diagnostic circuit 38 that determines the presence or absence of a crack C in the liner 23 based on the detection result of the ultrasonic sensor 37, and the diagnostic circuit 38 is supercritical when the liner 23 is filled with hydrogen gas.
