abstract [PROBLEMS] To reliably and promptly detect internal defects such as cracks in a liner while reducing maintenance man-hours and costs by improving the maintenance efficiency while continuously using a vehicle. A pressure tank and a method for detecting internal defects in the pressure tank are provided. A fuel gas tank 9 in which an outer surface of a liner 23 is reinforced with a reinforcing layer 24 of fiber reinforced plastic, which is connected to the liner 23 and detects an acoustic wave propagating through the liner 23, and an ultrasonic sensor. 37, and a diagnostic circuit 38 that determines the presence or absence of a crack C in the liner 23 based on the detection result of the ultrasonic sensor 37, and the diagnostic circuit 38 is supercritical when the liner 23 is filled with hydrogen gas. The occurrence of a crack C in the liner 23 is determined by sound waves detected by the sound wave sensor 37, and an abnormal signal is output when the crack C in the liner 23 occurs.
