abstract |
A method for producing optically pure (S) -3-hydroxypyrrolidine is provided. A method for directly producing optically and chemically pure (S) -3-hydroxypyrrolidine by reacting 4-amino- (S) -2-hydroxybutyric acid ester salt in the presence of a reducing agent. The reducing agent is selected from the group consisting of borane, sodium borohydride, lithium triethylborohydride and lithium aluminum hydride. The production method is an industrial mass production method of (S) -3-hydroxypyrrolidine. [Selection figure] None |
