titleOfInvention | Steel plate cooling method |
abstract | A method for efficiently cooling a metal product such as a heated steel plate is provided. A metal product such as a heated steel plate is cooled using an aqueous refrigerant containing a soap-based surfactant (such as a fatty acid alkali metal salt). The aqueous refrigerant may contain the surfactant, water, an organic solvent (such as at least one selected from alkanol, alkylene glycol, and glucoside), and a chelate component. The proportion of the chelate component may be about 0.1 to 5 parts by weight and the proportion of the organic solvent may be about 0.0001 to 5 parts by weight with respect to 1 part by weight of the surfactant. The water-based refrigerant may be sprayed on the steel plate with, for example, a single fluid nozzle. [Selection figure] None |
