The present invention provides a color correction material useful for an optical filter having sharp light absorption particularly in a wavelength region of 480 to 500 nm and having excellent heat resistance and moisture and heat resistance even in a system having an adhesive layer. A color correction material containing at least one cyanine compound and at least one layered clay mineral. The cyanine compound is, for example, a hexafluorophosphate salt of the following compound, and is a color correction material containing a clay mineral complex intercalated with a layered clay mineral.
