abstract |
An oriented polymer sheet comprising a photochromic dichroic material is provided that exhibits dichroism in the activated state. A multilayer composite is also provided, the multilayer composite comprising at least a support layer and one oriented thermoplastic polymer sheet, the oriented thermoplastic polymer sheet having two opposite surfaces and a photochromic two-layer Contains chromatic materials. This sheet exhibits dichroism in the activated state. At least one surface of the sheet is connected to at least a portion of the support layer. The invention also relates to an optical element comprising this multilayer composite. Related methods are also disclosed. |
