abstract |
Summary of Use of Phage Displaying Peptides from Adhesive Proteins to Treat Diseases Associated with Intracellular Formation of Protein Fibrous Inclusions or Aggregates: A Therapeutic Agent Having a Peptide Sequence Including Mammalian Cell Adhesive Sequences Pre-formed intracellular proteins that are used to inhibit or treat diseases associated with intracellular formation of protein fibrillar inclusions or aggregates and inhibit intracellular formation of protein fibrillar inclusions or aggregates The fibrous inclusions or aggregates can be deagglomerated. A filamentous bacteriophage that displays a non-filamentous bacteriophage RGD cell adhesion sequence on its surface but does not display antibodies or non-filamentous bacteriophage antigens other than the RGD cell adhesion sequence is a preferred implementation of such therapeutic agents. It is an aspect. |
