titleOfInvention | Methods, compositions, unit dosage forms, and kits for pharmaceutical stress testing with reduced side effects |
abstract | A bolus for detecting a presence of myocardial ischemia during pharmacological stress testing and / or assessing its severity, including the administration of a pharmaceutical composition comprising adenosine and dipyridamole A method is provided comprising a combination administration of dipyridamole administered as a combination of adenosine given as an infusion, both being less than their respective single dose. This method is useful to exploit adenosine's vasodilatory capacity at a dose that achieves optimal coronary perfusion while substantially reducing adenosine-related side effects. Compositions, unit dosage forms and kits that are useful in carrying out this method are also presented. |
