abstract |
The present invention relates to a novel composite material in which carbon nanospheres are introduced into a polymer material. The polymeric material can be any polymeric or polymerizable material that has an affinity for the graphite material. Carbon nanospheres are hollow graphite-like nanoparticles. Carbon nanospheres can be produced from carbon precursors using template nanoparticles. The unique size, shape, and electrical properties of carbon nanospheres provide advantageous properties for composite materials incorporating these nanomaterials. |
