titleOfInvention | Systems and methods that do not inhibit human coronary artery endothelial cell migration for delivering rapamycin analogs |
abstract | The drug eluting endoprosthesis is configured to inhibit restenosis and thrombosis in the subject's body and promote healing of the lesion. Such endoprostheses include at least one support structure having a therapeutically effective amount of a rapamycin analog disposed thereon. A therapeutically effective amount of the rapamycin analog allows the rapamycin analog to elute from the support structure to obtain a concentration of the rapamycin analog that is sufficient to inhibit restenosis and / or thrombosis. Also, a therapeutically effective amount of a rapamycin analog does not substantially inhibit cell migration so that the migrating cells promote healing of the lesion. |
