Polyurethane elastomer with enhanced hydrolysis resistance |
abstract |
Polyester-based polyurethane microcellular elastomers with intrinsic hydrolytic stability prepared by reaction with polyisocyanates and isocyanate-reactive compositions that are suitable for shoe soles are disclosed. The elastomer is made from a polyisocyanate that is a prepolymer containing a polyester based on an isomer mixture of 1,3- and 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol, and the isocyanate-reactive composition contains such a polyester. Polyesters based on mixtures of 1,3- and 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol are present both in the prepolymer and in the isocyanate-reactive composition. |
