titleOfInvention | Router device and data communication technology for networked liquid injection system |
abstract | The liquid infusion system (102) described herein includes any number of infusion pumps (128), handheld monitors or handheld controllers (138), physiological sensors (130), and clinical or hospital monitors (140). Including local “body network” devices. The body network devices can be configured to support communication of status data, physiological information, alerts, control signals, and other information between each other. In addition, the body network device is a network of status data, physiological information, alerts, control signals, and other information between the body network device and the “external” device (104), system, or communication network. Can be configured to support different communications. Such external communication allows the infusion system (102) to be extended beyond the traditional short-range user environment. One particular system embodiment includes a network router device (1500, 1600) that functions as a centralized storage-processing-routing unit for data received from a body network device. The network router device (1500, 1600) is configured to generate HTML documents (web pages) that facilitate Internet-based setup, management, and control. |
