titleOfInvention RF coil assembly for magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy systems
abstract An RF coil assembly for an MRI system includes a resonance device formed by a cylindrical shield and a plurality of pairs of opposing conductive legs arranged symmetrically around a central axis and extending the axial length of the shield. The drive circuit for each pair of opposing conductive legs includes a current balun that maintains substantially equal reverse currents in the two conductive legs. The terminal susceptance element is used to maintain maximum current and minimum voltage at the midpoint of the conductive leg. Multinuclear measurements can be performed simultaneously at different Larmor frequencies. [Selection] Figure 1
