titleOfInvention | Membrane androgen receptor (MAR) drug detection |
abstract | Disclosed are methods for detecting agents that modulate membrane androgen receptor (mAR). In one aspect, the invention provides a method for detecting and optionally identifying a ligand-binding mAR. One assay according to the present invention detects agents that selectively bind mAR in relation to binding to the classical intracellular androgen receptor (iAR or AR). The present invention has a wide range of useful applications including providing methods for screening chemical libraries for chemicals that preferentially bind mAR. [Selection] Figure 1 |
