abstract |
Disclosed are compositions comprising per se flammable flexible polyurethane foam and multi-component flame retardant additives. Flame retardant additives include alkyl substituted aryl phosphates, and alkyl phosphate esters (wherein the alkyl group is in the C 4 to C 20 range and contains 1 to 6 oxygen atoms in the alkyl chain). Optionally, the flame retardant additive comprises a halogenated flame retardant comprising greater than 30 weight percent bromine, chlorine, or mixtures thereof. |
