abstract | A compound comprising at least one copper II complex for a material selected from the group of imidazole and imidazole derivatives is provided for use in a gas generating composition. Relatedly, the burn rate enhancing gas generating composition includes, in addition to such a copper complex-containing compound, a nitrogen-containing non-azide fuel. In at least one aspect selected from the group consisting of ignitability, burning rate and burning rate pressure sensitivity, by adding such a copper complex-containing compound to the non-azide gas generating composition, a non-azide gas is obtained. A method is provided for improving the combustion performance of the generating composition. |
