titleOfInvention | Endoprosthesis with multiple spiral wound flexible framework elements |
abstract | The present invention relates to an implantable medical device having two or more flexible framework elements arranged in a spiral around a common central axis. Each framework element has a configuration having a series of top ends that are alternately oriented in opposite directions. The framework elements are spirally arranged together so that their top ends are nested. Adjacent apexes are joined together with a flexible linkage element. Each linkage element extends according to one distinct passage or course through the framework element. Each element can be made of the same material or different materials. |
