abstract | Aspects of the invention are provided that include methods and devices for selectively removing a drug from a physiological export fluid collection site. In certain embodiments, the aspiration device is targeted, for example, primarily when the target agent is at least expected to be present at the site, eg, when the target agent is expected and / or known to be present at the site. Used to selectively remove the target agent from the site by removing fluid from the site. Aspects of the invention also include systems and kits for performing the methods. The present invention finds use in a variety of different applications, including the selective removal of both therapeutic and diagnostic agents from a variety of different physiological sites. |
