titleOfInvention | Methods for predicting biological system response |
abstract | The methods of the present invention employ a “system biology” approach to predict biological responses resulting from exposure to a test substance. In one embodiment, the present invention provides an automated method for predicting a biological system effect of a test substance. In another aspect, the present invention provides a method for building a knowledge base (or database) of response profiles for reference materials with known biological system effects. In another aspect, the present invention provides a set of protocols and software tools used to perform profiling. Another aspect of the invention relates to the reagents necessary to create a response profile for use with existing knowledge bases and informatics software to create a knowledge base or profile the physiological effects of a substance. Panel of the protocol. Another aspect of the invention is a database of physiological profiles. |
