Short-chain polyether for rigid polyurethane foam |
abstract |
The present invention provides for the presence of a base catalyst having at least one cation chelated with from about 0.5% to about 20% by weight of polyoxyethylene-containing compound, the weight percent being based on the weight of the short chain polyether polyol. Below, there is provided a short chain polyether polyol having a number average molecular weight of less than about 1,200 g / mole prepared by alkoxylation of an initiator. The short chain polyols of the present invention can be used to produce rigid polyurethane foams and non-foamed polyurethanes. |
