abstract | A method for performing a microarray assay on one or more sample fluids is disclosed, wherein the fluid contains a target biological compound. The method includes the step of labeling the targeted biological compound with a label. Subsequent steps include contacting the sample fluid with a substrate and detecting the presence of the label on the surface of the substrate. The method is suitable for simultaneous analysis of one or more types of target biological compounds in one or more sample fluids in one microarray. Until the end of the method, each biological compound of the kind is labeled with a different label so that the target biological compounds belonging to different sample fluids have different labels. The different labels can be distinguished after being detected on the surface of the substrate. Further disclosed is the use of a polymer substrate in a method for performing a microarray assay. |
