The present invention relates to a composition comprising water and at least one ionic liquid, and also relates to an apparatus capable of performing an absorption cycle using such a composition as a refrigerant pair. The present invention also provides a method of cooling using an absorption cycle comprising water as a refrigerant and at least one ionic liquid as an absorbent. The present invention also provides a method of heating using an absorption cycle comprising water and at least one ionic liquid as a refrigerant. |
