Cell reprogramming and genetic modification |
abstract |
Methods for cell reprogramming and optional genetic modification are provided. A pluripotent genome is obtained from a differentiated genome by fusing pluripotent cells with differentiated cells in the presence of Nanog or MEK inhibitors. The cell provides first and second cells that individually contain chromosomes, fuses the first and second cells, and then derives from at least one chromosome and second cell from the first cell Is genetically modified by culturing the fused cells to obtain diploid cells having at least one chromosome. The method of cell fusion comprises fusing a first cell and a second cell in the presence of a Nanog or MEK inhibitor. The resulting cells and their use are described. |
