The present invention relates to a photovoltaic module and a process of applying a silicone-based hot-melt encapsulating material (102a, 104a) onto a photovoltaic cell (103a), and forms the photovoltaic module. A photovoltaic array is provided, which provides a silicone encapsulant photovoltaic device, with more efficient manufacturing and better utilization of the solar spectrum, while using silicone hot melt sheets (102a, 104a) and organic encapsulation While having ease of processing of the agent, it has the optical and chemical advantages of the silicone encapsulating agent. In addition, a method of manufacturing a photovoltaic cell is provided, which involves an improvement in throughput and optical efficiency when compared to prior art encapsulation methods. Preferred silicone materials are provided in flexible sheets and have hot melt properties and low surface tack. |
