titleOfInvention | Submicron rare earth borate, its production method and use as phosphor |
abstract | The rare earth borates of the present invention exhibit the form of a liquid phase suspension of substantially single crystal particles having an average dimension in the range of 100-400 nm. The borate is calcined with a rare earth borocarbonate or hydroxyborocarbonate at a temperature sufficient to produce a borate and to obtain a product having a specific surface area of at least 3 m 2 / g. The product obtained from is produced according to a process consisting of carrying out a wet grinding. The borate of the present invention can be used as a light emitter, particularly for the production of a light-emitting transparent material. |
