Transgenic ROSA26-luciferase mice for bioluminescence imaging |
abstract |
The present invention relates to non-human transgenic animals that express bioluminescence markers. The present invention provides a transgenic mouse comprising in its genome a nucleotide sequence encoding luciferase operably linked to a mouse regulatory sequence, whereby the luciferase is expressed in all cells. Administration of luciferin substrate to mice results in bioluminescence. The control sequence is the Rosa26 promoter. This mouse is useful for monitoring in situ cell growth, differentiation or proliferation. |
