abstract | Disclosed is a method and apparatus for reading the current of electrodes on an electrode microarray. These electrodes with binding events are detected based on the difference in current. The enzyme on the target catalyzes the conversion of substrate to product, which can be detected by electrochemical reduction at each electrode on the electrode microarray. The device has an integrator circuit with a voltage output, which is measured and recorded over time and used to calculate the average current. The potentiometer equalizes the voltage at the electrode where the binding event occurs relative to the ground electrode. |
