titleOfInvention | Improved hyaluronic acid production method and means |
abstract | The present invention relates to plant cells and plants with increased hyaluronic acid synthesis, methods for preparing such plants, and methods for preparing hyaluronic acid using these plant cells or plants. Here, the plant cell or genetically modified plant according to the present invention has hyaluronic acid synthase activity, and further has glutamine: fructose 6-phosphate amide transferase (GFAT) activity as compared to wild plant cells or wild plants. And UDP-glucose dehydrogenase (UDP-Glc-DH) activity is increased. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of hyaluronic acid and plants with increased hyaluronic acid synthesis for the preparation of hyaluronic acid-containing foods or foods. |
