abstract |
A cementitious composition having improved frost resistance and melting resistance is provided that uses at least partially degradable polymer particles. The polymer particles are blended directly into the cementitious composition mixture. The degradable polymer particles provide voids in the cementitious material matrix, which increase the freezing and melting resistance of the cementitious material. An advantageous polymer is polylactic acid PLA or polyglycolic acid PLG. |
