abstract |
A method for predicting the probability that a mammal will respond therapeutically to a cancer treatment comprising administration of an EGFR modulator, comprising: (a) at least one biomarker selected from epiregulin and amphiregulin (B) exposing a biological sample from the mammal to an EGFR modulator, and then (c) after the exposure of step (b), determining the level of the at least one biomarker. Measuring in said biological sample, wherein said at least one biomarker measured in step (c) increased compared to the level of said at least one biomarker measured in step (a) Useful in methods wherein the level is indicative of an increased probability that the mammal will respond therapeutically to the treatment of the cancer GFR biomarkers. |
